I cannot, CANNOT stand my home decor. For years I begged the former spouse to let me decorate my way; for years he decorated his way. I am on my own with four kids now. We spend almost all our time at home. It has been a year and a half, so I think now is an appropriate time to get this done.

What do I want to do?

Right now it is all a hot mess...two couches (that eventually will be slip covered), a brown dresser, an ugly brown coffee table ($1 at Goodwill, how could I not?), and two very mismatched end tables. Nothing on my walls, no real decor...



That is changing over the next few weeks.

I have found my inspiration and I am running with it. I want a coastal decor for my home and now I am doing what I please to my own house.

So, in our house I do a bi-weekly menu plan.  I plan out two weeks worth of dinners so we know what we will be having.  Mondays and Fridays are open days so the kids can request their favorites ahead of time.  We are pretty fluid, so any item I have not deemed un-veto-able...I know, right...can be shot down by the husband if he sees something cheaper or yummier.
