Super Simple Pizza (so simple the kids can do it)

My kids love to make pizza. We never do just one big pizza and all eat from it; we each make our own and eat those. Nat likes meat...and lots of it. Daddy likes everything. I like calzones. Ky? She likes cheese. So a simple pizza night isn't really possible for us.

We usually get pizza crust in a box, or I make some Italian bread for the crust. The problem there is packaged dough sucks and it takes two 45 minute rises wit no over kneading for a good Italian dough. It can take me all day to make my own dough.

Until a few weeks ago...

I discovered a way to make a super simple pizza in under 60 minutes!

It all begins with fleischmann's simply homemade bread.

Just pick your flavor, we did white and italian for our crusts.

Proof your yeast (this really is essential because the one time you don't do it your yeast will be bad and not rise up), mix the boxed dough with water and the yeast. Cover and let it rise for 30 minutes to 45 minutes.

Make your pizza crusts. Be sure to make them really thin because they will still rise and it will look like pizza bread rather than pizza crust!

Once they are nice and thin bake like the directions say. When there's about 15 minutes left pull the pizza out and top with your sauce and toppings, then finish baking. If you like the textured crust you can put cornmeal on the rims of the crust before baking for added texture as well!

See? So simple a kid can do it (although, I might supervise yeast proofing).

Variation: Add all your toppings before baking like my girls did. The bread will be saturated with tomato sauce, but it really is good.
